Vandaag verschijnt ‘The Temple of I & I’, het nieuwste album van het Amerikaans triphop duo Thievery Corporation. Rob Garza en Eric Hilton touren met hun 20th Anniversary Tour de wereld rond en staan op 4 maart in Ancienne Belgique. “The Temple of I & I is a place of worship that exists only in our imagination; a place where all people are chosen people and the unity of living things is possible,” aldus Hilton. “So much of the world is divided into tribes and belief systems that have imprisoned people’s consciousness and allowed a few to control the many. Culture can be a blessing and a curse. Humanity transcends tribe and culture. Support act Het voorprogramma wordt verzorgd door de Duitse DJ’s Ancient Astronauts. Het duo werd door Thievery Corporation zelf ontdekt en meteen onder hun platenlabelESL Music gebracht. Ancient Astronauts maken uiteenlopende beats en hebben al samengewerkt met onder andere The Jungle Brothers, DJ Brace, Shawn Lee enRaashan Ahmad. Hun eerst LP ‘We Are To Answer’ verscheen in 2009.
